A paddock walk is being held at Brungle next week to understand more about the different types of indigenous culture that can be found on farms.
Creating a welcoming environment the "Women's Yarning Circle" event is for women of the Central Billabong to gather, collaborate, be creative, share stories (cultural, Indigenous and other), and lunch on the banks of the Billabong Creek near Jerilderie.
The Waterway Management Plans are now available for your feedback. The Plan outlines management actions that will be implemented over the next ten years in the three Target Areas. The Refreshing Rivers team is thankful for all inputs already received and welcomes any last points of feedback.
Luke Pearce from NSW DPI Fisheries broke the ice on the water this morning to collect these special threatened fish! So rewarding to see one of the last populations in the Murray catchment persisting at this site due to the hard work from Holbrook Landcare Network, Fisheries and local landholders.

Citizen science afternoon at Colombo Creek, Morundah, looking for the elusive platypus with YACTAC and Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc.
YACTAC and Refreshing Rivers were at the Jerilderie Fishing Club’s Kids Fishing Day supporting a creative activity with a waterway theme. The chosen focus species was the eel-tailed catfish.
An instream planting event occurred in early November at Conargo TSR. Past Central Billabong environmental action has been about securing water and willow removal. Planting for purpose and instream restoration is being showcased as methods to use broadly.
